Vortex Range Finding Binos Description
The Vortex Fury HD 5000 is one powerful, long-ranging unit that incorporates two of the most important requirements for hunting. Engineered to be an indispensable addition to your hunting gear, this premium, general-purpose binoculars with rangefinder makes glassing and ranging ultra-fast and efficient.
Boasting a high (10x) magnification, XR anti-reflective and fully multi-coated optics, plus compact roof prisms, the rangefinder binoculars with high-density glass produces – even in low light – bright, clear, high-contrast images with accurate color rendition. Its field of view is also generous, and, overall, the optical performance is unmatched.
Run by one CR2 battery and activated using an intuitive two-button interface located on the right optical barrel, the laser ranging device built into the Vortex Fury can accurately measure the distance to a deer up to 1600 yards away or a reflective surface 5000 yards distant. Its in-view, illuminated display offers five brightness settings, displays distance in yards or meters, and can be focused for clarity; while, to promote accuracy, the Horizontal Component Distance (HCD) feature shows the true shot range based on distance and angle (out to 800 yards for mild slopes, and 400 yards on moderate slopes).
Also offered by the Vortex Fury HD 5000 laser rangefinder is a Line of Sight (LOS) mode for longer shots when using ballistic cards or apps; a Spot mode that ranges to a single stationary object; and a Scan mode that continually updates the distance readings when the device is being panned across a landscape or used to track an animal in motion.
The right-side button controls of the rangefinding binocular make one-handed manipulation of both glassing and ranging functions quick and easy, significantly reducing set up time in the field.
Vortex Fury HD 5000 Construction Details
Like the best rangefinder binoculars it is, the Vortex Fury is built to survive harsh usage conditions. Its chassis is wrapped in a protective rubber armoring that protects the unit against impact shocks, and this rubber material is textured to ensure that the user’s grip is always slip-free.
Water and fogproof performance is assured, even in the most extreme conditions, thanks to the optical tubes which are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed. All exposed lens surfaces on the Vortex range finding binos are also treated with the manufacturer’s ArmorTek coatings to protect against scratches, oil and dirt; and the objective lens caps (tethered to prevent loss) as well as the one-piece ocular rain guard can quickly be put on to keep rain and snow out.

“Was very pleased with the Vortex 10/42 Fury 5000 Gen 11 Laser Rangefinder Binocular. Easy to pack and very clear optics. Great quality for the price. Only suggestion I would have would be to make the plastic eyepiece nongloss between the eyecup and the lens, as the glare is distracting when the sun hits it. Thanks for a great product.”

“I bought these recently and have immediately wanted to bring them everywhere with me. Optical clarity is amazing and the range ability seems to be very accurate. The controls for switching through modes are very intuitive and they feel like they will last a lifetime.
My only gripe is they did not come with a sticker in the box ;)”
